Our selection of pre-built homes includes modular housing units constructed by Schult Homes. As the premier partner of Schult in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota we are proud to sell Schult modular homes right alongside our selection of manufactured homes. When considering a new home in Minnesota or the Dakotas, it is important to learn the differences between our manufactured and modular homes.
While stick built homes are built in their entirety, Schult modular homes are constructed in sections at the company’s state-of-the-art production facilities. Modular homes for sale in Minnesota and the Dakotas are built to meet the precise building codes and standards where you’ll be living.
When your new modular home is completed at the factory it will be shipped to your new home site piece-by-piece on flatbed trucks. A team of contractors at your home site will carefully put the pieces together as they arrive at the building site. Once the home is put together and the finishing work has been completed, local inspectors must visit your new home to ensure that contractors have assembled the home according to local safety and building codes.
Modular homes offer you the best of both worlds when buying a new home. They offer more space and a greater assortment of amenities and features than manufactured homes, but can often be constructed for less money than a traditional site-built home.
On average, Schult constructs 32,000 homes a year. This allows Schult to buy all of its materials at lower prices than contractors using traditional on-site building methods. This savings is passed on to you as the buyer in the form of lower prices. Modular homes sit on a foundation, just like a traditional home. A simple crawl space, or full basement can serve as the foundation of your new modular home.
Best of all, your modular home will increase in value over time just like a traditional site-built home. You can increase the value of your modular home by constructing add-ons like sun rooms, porches, and garages.
We proudly stand behind all of our Schult modular homes because Schult Homes stands for quality. When you buy a new modular home from us, your customer service experience is just beginning with the purchase. We’ll be there with you to answer any questions you have about a modular home, before and after you move in to your new home.
