Buying a new home presents a lot of tough questions. Whether you are buying a manufactured or modular home, you are bound to have a lot of questions about various aspects of home buying. We’ve compiled a convenient list of the most Frequently Asked Questions we receive, to help provide you with some introductory knowledge and make it easier to get down to business when you visit us at our home center.

1. Can your homes be placed on a basement?

All of our homes, both manufactured and modular, can be placed on basement foundations if your home site has one in place. Our homes accommodate slab foundations, crawl spaces, and full basements.

2. Can I trade in my current home?

If you have a manufactured home, you can trade it in toward the cost of a new home.

3. Where can I get a list of options available?

4. Where can I go to view a model in person?

You can view many of our manufactured and modular home models at our Harvest Homes location in Fergus Falls. Our home center is located at 3402 Minnesota 210, Fergus Falls, MN 56537.

5. How long is the process?

The time it takes to get your order processed, and your home built, varies with the seasons. In the early spring, it can be done in as little as 30 days. Later in the year, when order volume increases, the process can take much longer.

6. How does manufactured housing compare to a site-built house?

Schult uses the same materials (insulation, windows, doors, etc.) to build their manufactured and modular homes that contractors use when constructing a site-built home.

7. Do you supply the land to go with the home?

No, we do not supply the land to place your home on.

8. Can I rent a home from Harvest Homes?

No, our homes are only available for purchase. However, our home prices are lower than traditional site-built homes, and are often comparable to home rental prices.

9. Can I customize a home?

You can customize any one of the 84 plans we offer.
